Kiel Imaging Seminar

Björn Corzilius is currently a professor for physical chemistry with focus on solid-state NMR spectroscopy at the
Institute of Chemistry and the Department Life, Light & Matter at the University of Rostock. He studied Chemistry
at the Technical University Darmstadt, Germany, where he received his Diploma in 2005 and his Ph.D. in 2008
under supervision of Prof. Klaus-Peter Dinse, studying the electronic properties of carbon nanomaterials by EPR
spectroscopy. In 2009 he joined the group of Prof. Robert G. Griffin at the Francis Bitter Magnet Laboratory
(MIT) where he investigated DNP mechanisms and developed new methods for biomolecular NMR applications.
In 2013, he became an Emmy Noether research group leader at the Goethe University Frankfurt/Main, Germany,
before being appointed to his current position in 2019.
