The conference, taking place from March 31 to April 2, 2025, brings together leading international scientists and researchers to present and discuss current developments and groundbreaking research results in the field of intelligent materials.
A special focus of the conference is the close networking among several Collaborative Research Centers (SFBs) and the upcoming application for a new Collaborative Research Center Transregio (SFB-TRR) between Rostock and Kiel. This SFB-TRR aims to establish a strong research network between the two university locations and is of great strategic importance for the Department "Life, Light, and Matter" (LLM) at the University of Rostock, as well as for Kiel’s research focus KiNSIS ("Kiel Nano, Surface and Interface Science").
The conference integrates research outcomes and expertise from the following established Collaborative Research Centers:
- SFB 1261: "Magnetoelectric Sensors: From Composite Materials to Biomagnetic Diagnostics"
- SFB 1270: "ELectrically Active ImplaNts – ELAINE"
- SFB 1461: "Neurotronics: Bio-inspired Information Pathways"
- SFB 1477: "Light-Matter Interactions at Interfaces (LiMatI)"
The diverse program includes presentations from renowned international experts, along with numerous opportunities for both personal and virtual networking and exchange.
