The logo of our department, in which the terms KAT (catalysis), PHOT (photonics), MED (medicine) and SIM (simulation technology) can be seen, symbolizes the four fundamental research focuses that have shaped the department in its founding years.

Today, the LLM Department is proud of its roots and the successful developments that have emerged from these focal points. At the same time, interdisciplinary cooperation will remain a central feature of our research profile in the future.

As part of the current development of our research vision, the logo will also be adapted to reflect the new focus and direction of the department.
