The key topic Dementia Assistance & Mobility derived from the two project fields Cognition and Physical Performance. The area focused on identifying socially acceptable and individually desirable solutions for improving the supply situation of persons who suffer from dementia and supporting their relatives. Aiming to slow down the progression of disease and to promote a self-determined life of persons who suffer from dementia, measures for stabilizing memory and orientation, physical performance, mobility and social participation are investigated.

The second key field, Best Agers, deals with individual life management and social participation of elderly people. Labour market participation of elder people and images of ageing in our society are in the focus of research here.
